Heritage, History & Future

Jobs at Morrisons M local
Unlike working in a larger retail store, roles with Morrisons M local overlap and involve smaller, more close-knit teams.
The roles are all about team work and serving customers and if you relish being part of an operation with lots of customer contact and the chance to use your initiative, a Morrisons M local role could be just right for you.
Typically, a Morrisons M local team includes the Store Manager, an Assistant Store Manager, Team Leaders and Team Members.
All the roles play an important part in serving our customers and making it all happen on the shop floor.
What's the job all about?
Our small teams of around 20 colleagues are at the heart of communities where we have local people serving local people.
The work is really varied so you'll never get bored – it's not uncommon to be serving customers at a checkout, working a delivery and baking off bread (not all at the same time of course) in a single day.
You'll spend time interacting with our customers and ensuring the shop is set for success.
Our stores are successful when we all work together as one team to deliver a great experience for our customers- this is where our people really make the difference.
We're early birds (5am starts are not uncommon) and night owls (our shops are open until 11pm) so flexibility is really important to us.
What previous experience will help you?
We're interested in hard working, flexible people who can work as part of a team to deliver great customer service every time.
Although retail experience is desirable, it's not essential as we'll make sure you know everything you need to do a great job.
Team Leader
What's the job all about?
You'll be a key member of the team who can bring the best out of others.
At times you'll be the duty manager (perhaps opening up at 5am, or closing down at 11pm) and you'll be great at managing lots of tasks, whether it's serving customers at a checkout, working a delivery, or baking off bread.
Our stores are successful when we all work together as one team to deliver a great experience for our customers.
Our people make the difference, so not only will you offer great service to our customers, you'll also be great at leading and motivating your team.
What previous experience will help you?
Experience of managing a team and working in a retail or service led environment with a degree of responsibility is desirable but not essential.
Assistant Store Manager
What's the job all about?
Our small teams, made up of around 20 colleagues, are at the heart of communities, where we have local people serving local people, and they need great leaders to support, coach and develop them.
Our customers come to see us whether they want a loaf of bread, a full shop, or anything in between, and as
Assistant Store Manager, you'll make sure you delight them every time.
You'll be passionate about selling and serving our customers, while running the store efficiently.
You'll support the store manager by being hands on and leading by example to get the job done, and at times you'll be responsible for running the store and leading the team.
You'll be a great leader who really knows how to bring the best out of your people.
The nature of the job means being flexible about when you work is really important to us.
What previous experience will help you?
Experience of working in a retail management role where exceptional customer service is key. You’ll have managed a team of up to 20 colleagues and achieved great results by driving performance.
