Das WFP-Verbindungsbüro in Berlin wurde Ende 2004 mit der Aufgabe gegründet, Kontakte zu bestehenden und potentiellen Partner- und Geberinstitutionen zu pflegen. Außerdem soll es den Kampf gegen den Hunger die Arbeit von WFP im deutschsprachigen Raum weiter bekannt machen.

Das WFP-Verbindungsbüro in Berlin bietet 6-monatige Praktika in den Bereichen: Presse- und Öffentlichkeitsarbeit, Administration/ Office Management und Donor Relations/ Geberbeziehungen. Die Stellen werden Anfang 2015 neu besetzt und richten sich ausschließlich an eingeschriebene Studenten.
Junior Professional Officer (JPO) Programme
Junior Professional Officer (JPOs) sind junge qualifizierte Menschen unter 32 Jahren, die von ihrer eigenen Regierung nach diversen Einstellungstests ausgewählt wurden, um für internationale Organisationen wie WFP zu arbeiten.
Die Regierung des jeweiligen Landes kommt für das Gehalt und die Sozialleistungen für zwei bis drei Jahre auf. Die Zeitdauer ist vom jeweiligen Vertrag der Regierung mit WFP abhängig. JPOs können sowohl in der WFP-Zentrale in Rom als auch in einem der Verbindungs- oder der 80 Landesbüros arbeiten.
